The goal of the Camera Phone Mural, (AKA Leaving Traces) is to create an ongoing form of communication that allows people to interact with the environment they are in as well as have another layer of understanding of the community they are a part of. In the perfect scenerio the mural would be displayed over a prolonged period of time and would be in a state of constant change.

The CameraPhone mural is a projected or digital mural that allows users to upload images directly from their cellphone to the actual display. The images take on the shape of a small segment of the mural and become part of a reflection of what is currently going on in the surrounding environment and of the people that make up the audience.
